    Asknet Software Shop to Be Discontinued Today

    The Asknet Software Shop will be discontinued as announced today (2026-06-30).

    According to the latest information provided by Asknet GmbH, postponing the shutdown of the “Software Portal for Lower Saxony” until 2026-07-31 is unfortunately not possible.

    The further course of action and possible alternatives are currently being discussed and evaluated. We will provide further updates as soon as new information becomes available.

    EVITA – Call for training modules

    The GWDG is participating as a consortium partner in the EuroHPC Virtual Training Academy (EVITA) project, which has just reached a major milestone. EVITA has officially launched two public calls as part of its cascade funding scheme: a call for modular training materials and a call for external reviewers. As of 16 June 2026, the European HPC community is invited to apply.

    Training providers, research centres, universities, and HPC experts established in EU Member States or EuroHPC associated countries are invited to contribute to develop modular training courses for the EVITA Training
